What impact does corona have on your company KIP040?

Just like all other restaurants, we were only open for take-out and home delivery. As my company is relatively young, I can hardly qualify for the aid packages. This means that my situation (better said: my bank account) looks different than I hoped when I started with KIP040. The impact is therefore significant.

Which changes due to Corona you experienced as positive?

Fortunately I noticed that there are always people who are ready for you, want to help you, and therefore order or collect food just that little bit more often. That makes my day.

 What would you personally like to do first when everything "opens up" again?

As I had plenty of time to think about the future, I tried out a lot of new recipes and dishes. So, there will be a new menu, where the “chicken favourites” of course will remain. Also the restaurant is being restyled, it is going to be super cool. Of course, all changes have to come with a new name. I am really looking forward to being able to cook for my guests again in person and to host them at 'Vensz'!

What is your best personal memory of 2020?

Because we were limited in our travels and had to stay in the Netherlands, I went to places I would otherwise never visit. The Netherlands has so much to offer and I'm glad I've seen more of it now. It also gave me the energy and inspiration to think about new dishes and that is why the menu is expanded with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes from the barbeque. 

Finally: which message do you want to give personally?

If the past year has taught us anything, it is the importance of good health. A healthy lifestyle is part of that. I try to contribute to this by preparing fresh and healthy products. In this way I also hope to give my customers a small push towards a better lifestyle, because in the end health is the only thing that really matters.
