International hot chocolate day!

it's getting colder outside, that means time for hot chocolate! Hot chocolate is made of melted chocolate or cocoa powder. The chocolate milk was first made about 2000 years ago by the mayas. until the 19th century, the drink was even used as a medicine. After this it was mainly for the rich people because it was a very expensive drink.

In the Netherlands is hot chocolate milk a typical winter drink! We drink it while it snows, while ice skating and while sleighing. To be honest we drink hot chocolate everywhere…

You can also make hot chocolate at home, and it’s very easy! You only need some milk, cocoa powder and some sugar. grab a pan and heat up 250ml milk, but don't let it boil! Then you grab the cocoa powder and you scoop a big spoonful of powder into a glass, you also add 2 to 4 tablespoons of sugar in this glass. Then you add a little milk to the cocoa powder and sugar and stir this into a paste. And lastly add the rest of the milk. Make sure you mix this well until it has an even color. You can also put some whipped cream on top. And your hot chocolate is ready to drink!
