I've been practicing Yin Yoga for 10 years now. I started when I was overwhelmed with stress in my life and was looking for ways to help myself relax and recover. Because of the incredible benefits of this practice, I never stopped and I'm now teaching it to others.
 

Here's how Yin Yoga helped me and can help you:

In Yin Yoga we hold postures for longer periods of time than in other styles of Yoga. By slowing down, breathing deeply and stretching, we send signals to our nervous system that it's safe to relax, and produce less stress and more happiness hormones.

Yin Yoga is one of the best ways you can increase your flexibility, joint, fascia and ligament mobility, help your muscles rest and recover. By bringing your attention from your thoughts to your body and its sensations, you are concentrating on the present. You may experience an emotional release during the practice, as we store a lot of unexpressed emotions in our body.

After Yin Yoga practice you will feel refreshed physically, emotionally and mentally.

* Acceptance
By staying in the postures for a longer time, we learn to accept our current circumstances instead of running away from them by constantly keeping ourselves busy.
