Iconic places in Eindhoven everyone should visit
Are you new in Eindhoven and want to go sightseeing? We’ve listed a few famous places you should visit!
Eindhoven Central Station
Eindhoven’s station was built in 1956. Many people thought the exterior of the station was based on an old Philips radio, but that’s not true. That radio was designed 4 years later.
Blob
This futuristic building is one of the first things you notice when you’re in the center of Eindhoven. Blob stands for Binary Large Object and is 25 meters tall. You can find Sissy Boy in Blob, so you should definitely take a look in there too!
Stratum
A lot of people go out in Stratumseind, a 225 meters long street with cafes. But there’s also a theater in Stratum: the Parktheater. There are a lot of parks nearby where you can sit and have a picnic in the sun.
Markets
There is a market in the center of Eindhoven every Tuesday. You can buy fabric, fruit, nuts, fish and a lot more. There is another market on Catherinaplein on Saturday. You can find vinyls and nice vintage stuff here.
Berenkuil
Berenkuil means ‘bear pit’, but unfortunately it doesn’t have anything to do with bears. It’s a traffic square that has two floors. It’s also an open-air museum, graffiti artists are allowed to make their art here.
