December is family month at the Philips Museum

The Philips Museum is open again and is warming up for the festive season. The museum declares December as a family month. With actions and activities she wants to offer families, brothers and sisters, parents, grandfathers and grandmothers and children a responsible and educational outing. A new audio tour guides everyone safely through the museum.

Brand new audio tour

The museum decided in Corona time that an audio tour offers a great solution to dream away, now that there are hardly any guided tours and no events. The museum tour tells you a lively story with background sounds to match. For those who like to get carried away in a story from then to now.

Museum Kids Factory: also on Wednesdays

The successful Museum Kids Factory program has been made corona proof and is offered every Wednesday afternoon in December. And of course the entire Christmas holidays (from December 28 to January 3). Children can tinker at their own table, with the volunteers at a safe 1.5 meters away. Children from 5 years old can get started with mechanical building, soldering, sawing, drilling, 3D drawing and 3D printing.

Quote from visitor: “We visited the Philips Museum with our children during the autumn holidays. The children thought Museum Kids Factory was incredibly fun, we could have booked two sessions! Enthusiastic volunteers too, great that they were there! ”

iPad tour Mission Eureka & Lights Scavenger Hunt

Families with children from 8 years old can test their knowledge with the iPad game Mission Eureka. Smaller children (from 4 years) can do the Lampjes Treasure Hunt, they use UV lamps to search for secret signs in the museum.

Private tour

For visitors who prefer to visit the Philips Museum with a guide, this is (again) possible. We offer private tours for small groups such as family outings.

Corona measures: good to know

Because all catering facilities are closed until further notice, the museum café is also closed. There is coffee to go. Furthermore, in the museum, you must book online in advance, you must wear a mouth mask (except for children up to 13 years). We follow standard hygiene rules to make it a responsible outing for everyone.
