A day out: to the zoo!
It’s always something special: going to the zoo. Seeing all these animals that you don’t see every day keeps being wonderful to see. In the Netherlands we have plenty of fun zoos where you can go! Let us show you a few!
Diergaarde Blijdorp
It’s the most visited zoo in the Netherlands: Diergaarde Blijdorp. This zoo is situated in the city center of Rotterdam. In this zoo you will find all kinds of exotic animals! Think of elephants, gorillas and more. This zoo is also one of the oldest we have in the Netherlands. The most famous animal in this zoo is the gorilla named ‘Bokito’. The reason this gorilla is this famous is because it had escaped and attacked a woman in 2007. The ticket price for an adult is €24.50 and the price for a child is €20.00.

De Beekse Bergen
This is probably one of the coolest zoo things to do! Your own car safari through all of the animals! This is possible in the Beekse Bergen zoo in Hilvarenbeek. You can drive a route with your own car through the giraffes and rhinos, how cool is that! You can also be guided by a tour guide on a boat trip or a bus trip through the zoo. Of course there is also a possibility to just walk a route and see all the animals on foot, but we recommend the car safari as you can experience the animals from very close! Ticket prices vary from €21.50 to €24.50. You can book your tickets online with a discount.
